PRO BONO vs. PRO BONO
WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT THAT PRO BONO CASES GO THORUGH THE PROGRAM!
Number one comment heard at Celebrate Pro Bono Week…”I do pro bono but not through your office”.
We know you are doing pro bono cases and giving back to the community; but that neighbor’s divorce, the church member’s will, or the legal advice you give could be one more number we count.
We NEED your help!
The Pro Bono Program is partially funded by a BCLS (Basic Civil Legal Services) grant and as you know grant applications are based on numbers. If we could show our funders that Southeast Texas attorneys are doing twice as many pro bono cases as I can report through the office we might be able to request more funding for the program to serve more Southeast Texas residents. It is all about the numbers.
Please have all your pro bono cases qualified through the program.
Together we can make a difference that changes lives.
